FillingtheGap:awebinaronmakingthemostofdowntimeandpreparingforthenextjob
In an already competitive industry, longer gaps between jobs are being experienced by almost everyone. Making the most of this time is crucial to make sure you’re prepared, and bring your very best self to the table when you are “back in the room.”
This webinar will share tips and advice for Directors UK members on how to focus during the down-times and ways in which you can remain positive, be proactive and ensure you’re prepared for the next opportunity. We will explore the various ways in which Directors can sustain structure and productivity as well as maintain confidence and energy throughout employment gaps.
This session will be led by Executive Producer, coach and training facilitator, Jo Woolf, alongside High-end TV Drama Director, Lisa Clarke, and Unscripted Producer Director, Sophie Oliver, who will be sharing their experiences and insight in relation to the following topics:
• Coping strategies for dealing with down periods
• How to actively and efficiently search for work
• Reflecting on email etiquette and maintaining professional contacts
• Successful networking approaches
• Interview and meeting preparation techniques for both Scripted and Unscripted Directors
There will also be a Q&A for members during the webinar. We encourage you to send any relevant questions you may have for Jo, Lisa and Sophie in advance, as well as your own experiences and insight, to [email protected]
